Numerical Simulation and Experiment of Dust Suppression Device of Peanut Whole-Feed Combine Using Computational Fluid Dynamics

Peanut whole-feed combines discharge a large amount of dust while harvesting, causing serious air pollution and detrimental environmental change. To reduce the emission from peanut combines, cyclone separation suppression device for was proposed in this study. A three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model coupled with particles airflow established to simulate effect on capturing particles. Then, effectiveness verified by test system combine. The results show that when inlet wind velocity increased 15 m/s 25 m/s, efficiency measured value fluctuated between 90.79% 96.07%, simulated 95.18% 96.59%. Moreover, particle size discharged significantly reduced under action device. constant 8.6 μm, 5.1 μm. study methods can provide reference optimization similar agricultural machines.
